Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive

Howard Thurman

that was Luke’s attitude too, when he found out Darth Vader was his father. But instead of talking about it, he overreacted and got his hand cut off. Instead, Boba Fett got eaten by the Sarlacc, and they got ewoks. That all could have been avoided if they just communicated. Let’s face it, the ewoks sucked.

Working things out

So this weekend I spent it in Gainesville, FL with some friends.  I post the warren buffet quote a couple of weeks ago.  I been wrestling over it.  I really not felling fulfilled at working at computer shop and fixing computers.  I do my job well.  I am sure if you ask anyone who works with me or any of my customers i positive they agree.  Problem is at the end of the day there is no sence of accomplishment, excited for the customer I helped.

I sick of hearing winey people tell me that they can’t live without there computer.  That it there life and if they don’t answer there emails then the sky will fall.  To them my new retort is “then why don’t you have another computer.”  I can hear it now… that 2 expensive to have 2 compute.  But you do have 2 cars right? and 2 Tv’s right?

All that ranting to say…. I am going to work for student life this summer. I will be an Lighting Director this summer.  Mainly because reflecting back on the last 18 months i realized that my time at Student life was some of the best of my life.  I felt a sense of pride in what i did day to day.  And i believed in what the company did day to day.

I’ve been wrestling with leaving a job that is FT and pays decent to take a job that just pays the bills and second will be gone after the summer.  For that I am trusting that God will provide as he has these past 18 months.

If there is any difference between you and me, it’s that I get up every morning and have a chance to do what I love to do. If you want to learn anything from me, this is the best advice I can give you.
